Upgrading your Heroes is an essential part of making sure you're ready to take on your enemies.

There are two ways to level up your Hero, levelling up using Hero DNA and starring up your Hero using Shards and Element X.

If you want to level up a Hero to a level with an ability, such as level 10, you'll need to use Hero Catalysts. Each level with an ability, shown on the right-hand side of the screen, requires the use of Hero Catalysts.

TIP: Hero Catalysts can be obtained through missions, discounts or other offers.

Once you have unlocked a Hero, you can continue to use their Hero Shards to make them stronger. By using Hero Shards to increase a Hero's Star level, you can unlock Star Skills. 

Star Skills are chargeable power-ups that activate during a run when charged, these power-ups are unlocked with Element X. Element X can be obtained from the Gear Shop, Discounts, Offers and can even be obtained during some missions.
